Brewster, Love & Sarah Collier

My 10th-great-grandfather, Love Brewster, son of William & Mary (—) Brewster, was born c. 1614 in Leiden, Netherlands, and died before 31 January 1651 in Duxbury, Massachusetts. He married (as her first husband) 15 May 1634 in Plymouth, Massachusetts, Sarah Collier, who was baptized 30 April 1616 in Bermondsey, England, and died 26 April 1691 in Plymouth, daughter of William & Jane (Yates) (Clark) Collier.

Sarah married (as her second husband and as his second wife) 1 September 1656 in Duxbury, Richard Park, who was born c. 1602, and died after 12 July 1665 in Newton, Massachusetts, widower of Margery (—) (Backster) Park.

At the age of 9, Love arrived in America on the Mayflower in 1620, with his parents and younger brother. Sarah came with her parents on the Mayflower II in 1629.

Love & Sarah were settlers of Duxbury, first settled in 1624 and incorporated in 1637. They were the parents of four children:

1. Sarah Brewster (my 9th-great-grandmother), born c. 1635, died before 21 January 1679 in Duxbury. She married (as his second wife) Benjamin Bartlett, who was born c. 1629, and died 28 August 1691 in Duxbury, son of Robert & Mary (Warren) Bartlett, and widower of Susanna (Jenney) Bartlett.

2. Nathaniel Brewster, born c. 1637, died c. 1676. He married Sarah (—).

3. Dea. William Brewster, born c. 1645, died 3 November 1723 in Duxbury. He married 2 January 1672 in Duxbury, Lydia Partridge, born there c. 1650, and died there 2 February 1743, daughter of George & Sarah (Tracy) Partridge.

4. Wrestling Brewster, born c. 1646, died 1 January 1697 in Duxbury. He married (as her first husband) Mary (—), who was born 16 November 1661, and died 12 November 1742 in Kingston, Massachusetts.
