after summer merrily

“The Tempest: Ariel & The Bee” by Edmund Dulac

Where the bee sucks, there suck I:
In a cowslip’s bell I lie;
There I couch when owls do cry.
On a bat’s back I do fly
After summer merrily.
Merrily, merrily shall I live now
Under the blossom that hangs on the bough.

~ William Shakespeare
(The Tempest)

    1. For sure, as far as I know the summers in merry old England have always been milder than ours! 🙂

      1. I could go for that Barbara! We do have a cooler-than-average week coming up (yay) but five of the days have rain, but at least not severe (as of now). We had two days of severe weather this past week, though one fizzled out (that’s okay as I fretted over it all day anyway). Sigh.
