  1. How pretty!! They remind me of crocus, of course, because of the delicate lavender color. I’m not familiar with creeping mazus. Perhaps it’s native to your neck of the woods??

    1. They are pretty! The internet says they are “a low growing, flowering, herbaceous perennial in the Snapdragon family, native to the Himalayas.” I noticed little specks of purple in the leaf litter in our back yard and went out to investigate. 🙂

    1. I never noticed them out back before but apparently they are an evergreen perennial and must have been out there all along. If I hadn’t caught them blooming I would probably never have seen them there, living between the moss patch and the edge of the woods. 🙂
