conscious of eternity

“The Landing Place” by Willard Metcalf

There is a Zone whose even Years
No Solstice interrupt –
Whose Sun constructs perpetual Noon
Whose perfect Seasons wait –

Whose Summer set in Summer, till
The Centuries of June
And Centuries of August cease
And Consciousness – is Noon.

    1. It would be wonderful if your summer would stay as long as your winter did, Kathy!

The wedding was wonderful, the weather perfect… Pictures will come soon – we’ve still got company for another week, but I’ll post them as soon as I can. 🙂

    1. You’re welcome, Laurie – I thought Willard Metcalf managed to capture the magic of summer’s light so well.

    1. A deep green lake – I’ve cooled off a little just contemplating joining you and your friend for a swim!

    1. Thank you, Sonali! It’s taking me some time catching up, but I know you’ve seen the wedding pictures now! 🙂

    1. Hi Jane! The summer is going by fast, I think, but so hot and humid I’m dreaming about autumn…
