Freeman, Jonathan & Thankful Linnell

My 6th-great-grandfather, Jonathan Freeman, son of Edmund & Sarah (Sparrow) Freeman, was born 22 February 1731 in Eastham, Massachusetts, and died there 2 July 1768. He married 12 March 1752 in Eastham, Thankful Linnell, who was born there c. 1732 and died 28 May 1810 in Orleans, Massachusetts, daughter of Thomas & Thankful (Hopkins) Linnell.

Jonathan & Thankful were the parents of eight children:

1. Edmund Freeman, born 15 December 1752, died 31 December 1777.

2. Dea. Abner Freeman, born 12 June 1755 in Eastham, died 8 June 1833 in Orleans. He married 20 November 1777 in Orleans, Sarah Higgins, who was born 18 November 1757 in Eastham, and died 24 December 1832, daughter of Eliakim & Bathsheba (Freeman) Higgins.

3. Rebecca Freeman, born 26 March 1757 in Eastham, died there 26 May 1828. She married 21 December 1778 in Eastham, William Knowles, who was born there 14 May 1755, and died there 9 August 1830, son of Willard & Bethia (Atwood) Knowles.

4. Sarah Freeman, born 6 June 1759. She married 15 February 1780 in Orleans, Edward Jarvis, who was born there 9 September 1755, and died 25 April 1828, son of Timothy & Anne (Taylor) Jarvis.

5. John Freeman (my 5th-great-grandfather), born 10 November 1761 in Orleans, died c. 1817. He married 22 January 1784, his second cousin, Abigail Hopkins, who was born 19 December 1764 in Eastham, died in November 1829, daughter of Joshua & Rebecca (Sparrow) Hopkins.

6. Hannah Freeman, born 6 March 1764 in Eastham, died 30 September 1838 in Orleans. She married 16 March 1786 in Orleans, Isaac Snow, who was born there 8 October 1757 and died there 12 March 1855, son of Elnathan & Phebe (Sparrow) Snow.

7. Thankful Freeman, born 1 May 1766, died 25 July 1769.

8. Lois Freeman, born 7 July 1768, died 9 October 1825. She married 5 November 1789 in Orleans, Samuel Smith, who was born c. 1766 and died 7 October 1831, son of Joseph & Mary (Snow) Smith.
