Over lowland, over snow and tundra
span arches, raised by the rising sun.
See: the light is winning!
And the stream is streaming
towards open minds
and towards seeds dreaming
of growth.

This is one of my favorite paintings of the legendary artist Vincent van Gogh. Such depth, texture and priceless beauty. Beautiful words that flows so sweetly. Thank you for today’s inspiration. Have a blessed day my friend…God bless you always.
I’m so glad you enjoyed the combination, my friend! Sending you many heartfelt blessings and well wishes, too…
Hi Barbara. Van Gogh is one of my favorites. I love the way he captures the light with his brush strokes. ‘the light is winning’ is an uplifting line. Jane
Looks like Van Gogh is still very popular, Jane. It’s that time of year now when I start feeling more aware that indeed, the light is winning!
very nice art. beautiful message to go with it 🙂
Thank you, Sonali, I’m so pleased that you enjoyed it! 🙂
“The light is winning.”
Ahhhhh, yes!
It’s very foggy here this morning, Laurie, but the sun has promised to come out and win over this day!
Light always wins! That painting is a favorite of mine too. Not sure if it’s because of the palette or the neatness of the strokes.
Thankfully the light does always win! There is something striking about this painting – it’s vibrant without being blinding somehow…
Hi,
A beautiful painting from van Gogh, and such lovley words to go with it as well.
Glad you enjoyed the pairing, Mags! 🙂
Hi Barbara, This is exactly what I was just reflecting upon. After our snowstorm, now the sky is blue, the evergreens are gently moving in light wind, and the light the light…it says Spring! Thanks for your beautiful work, as always. Ellen
You’re welcome, so happy this resonated with you, Ellen! Spring is in the air for sure, although something feels strange because we didn’t really have a winter this year. All the same, I’m starting to plan my garden.
Spring is coming- the light always wins! 🙂
It sure does!!! 🙂 Come spring!
Isn’t this a magnificient painting! And thanks for sharing such an inspiring and perfectly accompanying poem.
It sure is, Diane! I’m glad you were inspired by the picture-word combination…
May the light win. Please. May the light win…
It will, Kathy, I promise, even on the Upper Peninsula! Sending you a stream of light to grow your dreams…
