Wonder in everything
No matter how great or small…
Same thing that’s scrawled across the stars
Is written under our skin…
There’s a time to search for understanding
Sometimes you just got to sing
New horizons, new horizon within
~ David Gray

At first I love this painting, I never seen it before, most of the photos you use I have never seen before! Gee my art history is lacking…
As for the poem/music wonderful! “Sometimes you just have to sing.”
Bouguereau is pretty new to me – I’m loving the way he painted ordinary people in natural settings – I don’t think I ever took an art history course – might be interesting… It does seem we can spend a lot of time looking for answers – how refreshing to give ourselves a break to sing with joy! 🙂
Hi,
Wonder in everything, very true, there certainly is, and in some things the more you look the more you discover.
Discoveries never end and it’s a wonder how they’re all connected somehow…
Great painting. I know Bouguereau – and know he’s one of your favorite painters because we’ve spoken about him previously – but I’ve never seen this one before.
love the lines:
“Same thing that’s scrawled across the stars
Is written under our skin…”
I remember our discussion, Rosie – and you have one of his paintings at your museum if memory serves me well… 🙂 Perhaps one of these years I will show up at your museum and ask you an annoying question just to tease you!
The lines seem to go well with one of my previous quote posts on April 6:

Oh that would be simply marvellous if we could meet at my cash register Barbara. Do come. I wonder which question you’d ask?
Hmmm – I wonder! 🙂
great painting and i like david gray too!
Hi Divya! I lost contact with your blog when I closed down my other quote blog so I’m happy to see you here! Looking forward to seeing what you’ve been up to over at Sunday Quotes! David Gray is a great singer-songwriter – I listen to him often…
Yes – Wonder and it’s cousin Gratitude in everything.
I corrected that for you, Laurie. 🙂 Hope you don’t mind!
We do have so much for which to be grateful in this amazing universe. I’m grateful to you for the link to the foam cushions – I’m getting much better nights of sleep now!
