I should not dare to be so sad
So many Years again —
A Load is first impossible
When we have put it down —
The Superhuman then withdraws
And we who never saw
The Giant at the other side
Begin to perish now.

Feeling the texture of sadness, of sorrow. Of how hard it can feel to let go of the load, to recognize the Giant. Thank you this morning, Barbara!
Thank you, Kathy… it’s strange how encountering and recognizing the Giant changes everything, even the past!
Hi Barbara,
Very nice, I haven’t seen that painting before, it does so reflect someone very deep in thought.
The painting was new to me, too, Magsx2. It’s interesting how the same painting can mean different things to different people – because I suffered from unrelenting migraines for many years it illustrated that kind of pain for me. About four and a half years ago I finally got effective treatment from a neurologist and got the chance to put down the Load…
On every corner there’s change, both happy and sad, I never dare to be too happy.
Lovely post Barbara. I take the positives from it.
Thanks, Keith… It’s true, neither sorrow or joy lasts forever, and in the balancing we feel both of them deeply as we gain and lose over and over again…
