Tim’s 5th-great-grandfather, Martin Minor, son of Ezekiel & Margaret (Beckwith) Minor, was born 1 September 1750 in Old Lyme, Connecticut, and died 1 November 1820. He married 11 June 1772 in Lyme, Connecticut, Elizabeth Davis, who was born c. 1754, and died 14 March 1819 in Bloomfield, New York, daughter of William & Esther (—) Davis.
Elizabeth & Martin were the parents of ten children:
1. Marvin Minor, born 8 February 1774 in Lyme, died c. 1802. He married c. 1791, Polly Martin.
2. Joanna Minor, born 18 January 1776 in Lyme, died 18 January 1814 in West Bloomfield, New York. She married (as his first wife) 22 October 1791 in East Haddam, Connecticut, Baysey Baker, who was born 24 April 1768 in Hamden, Connecticut, and died 27 February 1855 in West Bloomfield, son of William & Mercy (Jewett) Baker.
3. Elizabeth Minor, born 10 April 1778 in Lyme.
4. Lois Minor, born 21 January 1781 in Lyme.
5. Janet Minor, born 13 January 1783 in Lyme.
6. Lucena Minor, born 20 April 1785 in Lyme, died 13 January 1830. She married 16 January 1815, Stephen Hurlburt, who was born 31 July 1786 in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, and died 21 September 1845 in West Bloomfield, son of Timothy & Mary (—) Hurlburt.
7. William Minor (Tim’s 4th-great-grandfather), born 25 May 1788 in Lyme, died 12 June 1856 in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. He married 1 May 1813, Naomi Reniff, who was born 6 December 1790, and died 19 August 1871.
8. Sophia Minor, born 15 January 1790 in Bloomfield, Connecticut.
9. Mehitable Minor, born c. 1792.
10. Paulina Minor, born c. 1795.
