Tim’s 7th-great-grandfather, Dea. John Kyle was born c. 1682 in Scotland and died 12 May 1762 in Windham, New Hampshire. He married Mary (—), who was born c. 1694 and died 8 January 1778 in Windham.
John & Mary were the parents of a son:
1. Dea. John Kyle (Tim’s 6th-great-grandfather), born c. 1722 in Windham, died 25 Oct 1769. He married c. 1752, Agnes (—).
John & Mary were original settlers of Windham, New Hampshire, which was incorporated in 1742. In 2019 we spent a lovely autumn afternoon with Tim’s aunt in New Hampshire, locating the gravestones of their ancestors, while enjoying the gorgeous fall colors along the way.
Fortunately the Find A Grave website provided some older and much clearer photographs of these tombstones and I was able to identify them by matching up the markings that could be made out. And thankfully, the original epitaphs were recorded there, as well.
