Tim’s 6th-great-grandfather, Joseph Hubbard, son of John & Mary (Phillips) Hubbard, was born 21 March 1704 in Middletown, Connecticut, and died there 2 January 1789. He married 29 August 1728 in Middletown, Elizabeth Hollister, who was born 23 February 1710 in Glastonbury, Connecticut, and died 1 February 1785 in Middletown, daughter of Ephraim & Elizabeth (Green) Hollister.

Elizabeth & Joseph lie buried in Old Farm Hill Cemetery in Middletown, Connecticut. They were the parents of eleven children:
1. Elizabeth Hubbard, born 12 January 1730 in Middletown, died there in April 1778. She married 4 July 1751 in Middletown, Samuel Doolittle, who was born there 24 February 1729, and died there 12 April 1778, son of Jonathan & Rebecca (Ranney) Doolittle.
2. Dorcas Hubbard, born 21 September 1731 in Middletown.
3. Capt. Joseph Hubbard, born 25 December 1732 in Middletown, died there 23 October 1816. He married 20 March 1760 in Middletown, Mercy Roberts, who was born 7 May 1738, and died 15 September 1815, daughter of Ebenezer & Mercy (Johnson) Roberts.
4. Irene Hubbard, born 23 April 1734 in Middletown.
5. Priscilla Hubbard, born 16 October 1735 in Middletown, died there 29 August 1797. She married 27 August 1761 in Cromwell, Connecticut, Ebenezer Roberts, who was born 18 October 1735 in Middletown, and died there 28 February 1770, son of Ebenezer & Mercy (Johnson) Roberts.
6. Ephraim Hubbard, born 7 November 1737 in Middletown, died there 16 May 1751.
7. Manoah Hubbard, born 14 August 1739 in Middletown, died 7 September 1801. He married 22 April 1762 in Middletown, Hannah Woodward, who was born there 29 November 1739, and died c. 1801, daughter of Isaac & Elizabeth (Armstrong) Woodward.
8. Elnathan Hubbard, born 3 February 1741 in Middletown, died 17 April 1816 in Ipswich, Massachusetts. He married 5 July 1761 in Berlin, Connecticut, Sybil Hubbard, who was born c. 1742, and died 7 April 1831 in Windsor, Vermont, daughter of Timothy & Abiah (Porter) Hubbard.
9. Asahel Hubbard, born 20 September 1743 in Middletown, died there 10 March 1744.
10. Hannah Hubbard, born 23 January 1745 in Middletown, died 7 September 1801.
11. Eliphalet Hubbard (Tim’s 5th-great-grandfather), born 10 September 1748 in Middletown, Connecticut, died 2 May 1822. He married 30 May 1771 in Middletown, Abigail Johnson, who was born there 2 December 1751, and died c. 1785, daughter of Daniel & Jane (Richardson) Johnson.
