My 8th-great-grandfather, Jeremiah Howes, son of Jeremiah & Sarah (Prence) Howes, was born c. 1657, and died 6 January 1706 in Yarmouth, Massachusetts. He married 18 October 1693, Mary Daggett, who was born c. 1668, and died c. 1712, daughter of Thomas & Hannah (Mayhew) Daggett.
Jeremiah & Mary were the parents of six children:
1. Apphia Howes, born c. 1696, died in January 1705.
2. Hannah Howes, born c. 1697, died 16 November 1780.
3. Sarah Howes (my 7th-great-grandmother), born c. 1700, died 18 May 1751 in Yarmouth. She married (as his first wife) 4 September 1723 in Yarmouth, Joseph Crowell, who was born there 30 September 1696, and died there 14 January 1783, son of John & Hannah (Hathaway) Crowell.
4. Jeremiah Howes, born c. 1702, died in May 1747. He married Sarah Lothrop, who was born 22 April 1703 in Barnstable, Massachusetts, and died 5 May 1791, daughter of Barnabas & Elizabeth (Hedge) Lothrop.
5. Martha Howes, born c. 1704, died c. 1760.
6. Mary Howes, born c. 1706, died 16 November 1725.
