I think a pair of Carolina chickadees has moved it, judging by our seeing them coming out of the birdhouse and visiting the feeder. I hope we don’t miss the babies when they fledge!
A peaceful scene. Just the right size for tiny birds and your window to the world gives you a bird’s-eye view of their comings and goings. I hope this not the tree that is going to be taken down?
No, this tree is not tagged for removal, although I hope they don’t remove the one nearby while the chickadees are still using this birdhouse. The chickadees do a lot of scolding when crows come around and I can only imagine how they would react to the sound of chainsaws so close to their home.

Yes, indeed! A pair of Carolina chickadees have been seen going in and comin out. Keeping my fingers crossed that we see fledglings one of these days.
