The inspiration of nature can help us deal with death and endings, gifting us with the courage to let go and the strength to carry on. The pain and uncertainty may be no easier to bear but the release of autumn asks that we trust in the process, bravely facing the growing darkness without ever knowing if the light will reappear.

Thank you, Leelah. 🙏🍂
Now that’s a good analogy relating autumn to life. Good find, Barbara!
Thank you, Frank! I thought it was an authentic parallel, too.
Great pairing, Barbara! Perfect in every way about every thing right now.
Thank you, Teri! I do hope the light will reappear for our country this winter.
Amen! I hadn’t heard it expressed just this way, but it’s so true.
It’s so true, nature helps us understand and navigate the most difficult things we encounter as we make our way through this life.
This is so true isn’t it Barbara? As the hours of daylight dwindle and everything starts to look so bare and forlorn, it is easy to question how everything will spring to life come Spring. Nature is amazing isn’t it?
Even though the daylight is getting shorter each day there is a certain comfort in the realization that Mother Earth knows what she is doing as she maintains the balance of the seasons with the light she receives from the Sun.
Yes, the weather is getting more unusual by the day, but this balance of the seasons is a constant in our lives that will never change and we need that constant in our lives these days.
So true, the amount of sun and moon light we get at our unique spots on the globe never changes, even if climate change is making the weather so unpredictable.
“Constants” are good these days. We were cold for three days, now in the 70s Monday and near 80 on Tuesday!
Shortening days are here and I’m looking forward to the darkness as long as I have a candle nearby, of course.
I feel the same way. As an incurable homebody I love to get tucked in with blankets and candlelight for the winter.
This is exactly what I call faith! Your message was so welcome today. Thank you!
You’re welcome, Emily! Thanks for letting me know how this resonated with you!
