Glad you liked the combo, Peggy. Your comment made me think of my grandfather. He was in his 90s when my grandmother died and when he lost a lot of weight. His pants got baggy so he pulled out my grandmother’s sewing machine and taught himself how to sew so he could take his pants in. I was so impressed!
Oh wow – that is impressive. A man learning to sew at 90. What a sweet memory of your grandfather.
Self-reliance was a life-long value of his. I love remembering his words of wisdom and the example he set.
