We had one those even though the neighbors thought it was an eye sore, our was an old wood pile shelter that was a home for all kinds of insects and small animals.
This one is a work of art to say the least…
I know what you mean ~ sometimes I think we need separate neighborhoods for nature lovers. Leaving the leaves on the ground in the fall is good for the birds because a chief source of their sustenance, bugs, hide under them. If we planted native ground covers instead of lawns we wouldn’t have to listen to lawn mowers shattering the peace all summer long. Well, I’ll get off my soapbox now… sigh…
