Snow provokes responses that reach right back to childhood.

I am a book of snow,
a spacious hand, an open meadow,
a circle that waits,
I belong to the earth and its winter.

The first quote is spot on for me 🙂 Love the image!
Me, too, Tiny. 🙂 Still waiting for the first snow here, although Jack Frost has definitely been visiting…
I love the Janet Chui painting! Our first snow of any sticking power has been a gorgeous, heavy one that came with an Arctic blast–our highs around 15 F and lows of 5 F. So, not a good time to be outside since I have bronchitis. But I’m enjoying the beauty from my window. 🙂
We’ve had a few flurries and dustings but nothing sticking around yet. I shivered contemplating your high temps around 15° F ~ that was our low temperature this morning. But you’re lucky to have a snowscape to enjoy as you recover from bronchitis. Hope you feel better soon! 🙂
Thank you, Barbara. Tomorrow it’s supposed to get up to 40 F. I can’t wait!
Enjoy! We have a little snow this morning – it’s so pretty – but a warm front with rain is supposed to come this afternoon and wash it all away…
We’re having freezing rain at the moment–ugh–which will soon turn to rain, they say. Our snow is looking a little raggedy this morning. I’m looking forward to getting out of the house later today. 🙂
Our snow was pretty for a few hours yesterday but it’s gone now. Time to go out and get some food shopping done. Hope you enjoyed your adventure out of the house. 🙂
