    1. Thanks, Jeff! One of the reasons I love this painting – and there are many reasons – is that I always wanted a big brother, like the one in the painting and like the one my childhood neighbor down the street had. I was so envious. It was scenes like the one in this painting that I imagined sharing with this wished-for and interesting big brother!

  1. Oh very nice picture. Barbara, Its all miracles everywhere. Life is completely a strange miracle. A good thought you’ve shared. Well, hope you are doing good, enjoying the summer your side? 🙂

    1. Thank you, Sonali! Summer is going well here, we have not had the drought and extreme heat that has been plaguing the middle of the country. And when it does get too hot or humid here we have the luxury of air-conditioning to escape to, so we feel very fortunate.
How is your summer going? I hope all is well with you! 🙂

      1. Hi Barbara, Over here its a rainy season. Lot of rains this year. I’m as usual busy with my routine work. Well, nice to hear from you! Take good care! 🙂

          1. Barbara, I just finished watching the movie, ‘Monsoon Wedding’. I had not seen it before. So now you know how the big fat Indian weddings actually are, you must once attend!! 🙂

  2. Hi,
Very nice indeed, and the painting, it has so much in it the more you study it the more you find, the chicken with the babies, the little handbag, and of course the butterfly’s it really is a lovely painting.

  3. Good pairing of picture and quotation – I try to keep Walt’s thought high up in my mind every day.

  4. Thank you for reminding me that miracles still exist. That every day is another chance that it can happen anytime. That when we truly believe and have faith in its existence, it can happen to all of us. Beautiful poem and painting as always.
