Someday, after we have mastered the winds, the waves, the tides, and gravity, we shall harness … the energies of love. Then for the second time in the history of the world man will have discovered fire.

Hi Barbara,
Absolutely beautiful, and a lovely picture.
Thank you, Magsx2.
The illustration you used with the quote is beautiful.
Thank you, Laurie.
Hi Barbara, I’m really enjoying the images and quotes you’re posting.
Thanks, Cait. It’s fun and is holding me over until I get some pictures and words of my own to share…
If only…
Or perhaps love must remain free, untamed, wild, natural…
The mystery of love will no doubt remain so until it is ready to reveal itself…
I guess we won’t be harnessing the magnificence of love any time soon… (And I suspect not controlling those tides, those waves, that gravity, the sun or the moon either.) Incredible picture!
I love the picture, too, there will be many more Waterhouse paintings showing up here! 🙂
When I think of “harness” I think of renewable energy sources, like wind turbines and solar power. If we manage to make harnessing these energies a priority there will be more room for love to grow and flourish… Dwelling in possibility…
I love the image and the quote. I’ve always thought Waterhouse’s paintings are magical in some way.
They are magical! What talent he had and his paintings to seem infused with enchantment. I hope to use as many of his paintings as I can on this blog. 🙂
